BBC 1XTRA LIVE WAS BIG!

We took over Sheffield over the weekend with an incredible line up. Over 12 thousand fans of Urban music watched the likes of Chipmunk, Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder (Tiny) Chase & Status & JLS kill it on stage.

I was presenting backstage for Radio 1 & 1XTRA aswell as hosting on stage!

Chippy is my boy love him to bits, the girls were feelin him backstage but you know Chip all black on the d low.

Tinchy was looking good in his all black but he left his dressing room like a pig sty..lol

And worse still couldn’t be bothered to carry his own trainers…

Big up’s to JLS got alot of time for the boys always mad cool and full of jokes.

Shout’s to Jay Sean who is still the same cool guy that I knew back in the day, his whole team are on point good people!

Sem Dizzee, Scope, Dirtee Stank fam did the damn thing

Love Chase & Status were one of my personal highlights of the night and Plan B was wicked on stage, he played me his album backstage it’s BIG!

Dirtee Stank Records Kill London!!

Dizzee Rascal finished his UK Dirtee Stank tour in fine style last night in London,  Dizzee was supported by all his new signings at The Forum in Kentish Town!!

I got to kick it with Dizzee and the boys backstage, Shout-out to Semtex who as  always had his swagger on overload and killed it on the decks lol

The show was big, Dizzee Semtex and Scope have a wicked relationship on stage and it reminds me what a Hip-Hop show is all about the MC, DJ and Hype-Man, that was how it was back in the day right, Busta Spliff Star and DJ Scratch are another good example of this!!

Dizz was in good spirits playing Fifa and catching joke with his Dirtee Stank family before the show, I noticed no groupees or strange people that looked like they had blagged there way in, just a real family vibe.

This is you best-friend backstage trust me no-one can mess with you when you got you A.A.A’s pass!!

Dizzee did look alittle tired which didn’t surprise me I mean he has  been on the road forever with Festivals, Australia Tour, New Zealand Tour, American Tour and now UK Tour, he was telling me how after this last date he was gonna relax and go on a well deserved holiday as he munched on some Nandos!!

Smurfie Syco opened the show, rocking his Smurf Chain, the young guys seem to really be feelin him, I gotta say he has got that American type of vibe on stage, he told me earlier that his Grandma who is a Pastor at a church wouldn’t be attending, probably best thing right….lol

Newham Generals were next…..Big-ups to Footsie who gave me joke also D Double E who may  not say much but on stage defiently knows how to roc a mic!! The crowd loved them and they were rocking that whole cockney east-end boy vibe.  They seem like they have been watching their boss Dizzee and picked up some good tips!! Their set was well put together and had good energy.

The crowd were mad eclectic Dizzee has alot of people of all races and ages that are feelin him!!

When he came out they went mad!! I forgot how much hits he has now from Fix Up Look Sharp, Sirens, Old School to his UK number 1 single Dance With Me, Dizzee has grown so much as an artist he has star quality, knows how to work an audience and a swagger that is undeniable, his dancing is not too bad either (he can do a mean running man lol)

I gotta alot of time for Dizzee he is someone that has shown no matter what shit happens in your life you can still stick a finger up to it and kill it!!

By the way his encore was a new track called Bonkers produced by Armand Van Helden, it sounded like a big rave dance tune from the 90’s kinda reminded me off the days of The Prodigy!!

It’s a hit though!!!!
